Therapeutic Touch

Healing touch

Therapeutic touch is a form of "hands on healing" that induces relaxation and promotes healing. The "living" body, radiates warmth, energy, and has an animating force. This energy is called the life force itself. The act of laying hands on the human body to comfort or relieve pain is a natural instinct. Hands on healing provides a circuit for the energy to flow at a greater rate. This energy is directed by divine intention and does not require direction or diagnosis by the practitioner. It alleviates pain, and some physical symptoms associated with emotions stored in the body.

All healing is self-healing. Self healing is facilitated by a practitioner and is known as directed healing. Required by the recipient, is just a state of relaxation, openness to the experience and trusting the process. Many physical symptoms are emotionally based. The body knows what it needs for healing, just like the unconscious mind knows exactly how to heal the body. Involvement by the conscious mind can greatly interfere with the healing process, often preventing it.

Light Tissue Massage

Light tissue massage

Light tissue massage relies on connecting with the energy field of the patient. The therapist begins by the hands gently moving over the body, gently touching. The therapist will then gently begins to massage the muscles. There are many methods and techniques used to massage the body. As with all forms of alternative healing involving energy work, the therapist has its supporters and detractors. The fact that traditional medical care was unable to provide relief, but the therapist did release them from their pain. Detractors did affirm the value of many massage techniques did work. They also noted that relying on therapy can cause people with life threatening illnesses to delay seeking traditional treatment, which in turn can maximize the potential for making a complete recovery.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage is where the therapist will try to deeply move the muscles, and give you relief from the pain. Some therapists will mix different types of massages to get you to feel the benefits of the massage. Some therapists as myself like to do Deep tissue and Relaxing massage together as one. A Relaxing massage is when the therapist will gently rub the tender spots on the body, and then move towards the painful areas and give a deeper massage to release the muscle and pain. Many patients have felt relief and feel good after a massage. Clients that have relied on therapy to help them with pain and illnesses and delayed seeking traditional treatment have made full recovery without medication.
